01 - Peel the bananas and cut them into thin, even slices approximately 1/8 inch thick. For best results, use a sharp knife or mandoline to ensure uniform thickness.
02 - In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Mix thoroughly until evenly blended.
03 - Brush the banana slices lightly with melted coconut oil on both sides using a pastry brush. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over both sides of each slice.
04 - Place the coated banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overlap the slices. Work in batches if necessary to accommodate all the bananas.
05 - Air fry at 350°F for 10-15 minutes, flipping the chips halfway through the cooking time. Monitor closely during the final few minutes to prevent burning. Chips are done when golden and crispy.
06 - Remove the banana chips from the air fryer and transfer to a wire rack. Allow to cool completely—the chips will continue to crisp up as they cool. Optionally, sprinkle with sea salt before serving.
