Garlic Butter Lobster Tails (Printable Version)

Tender broiled lobster tails with rich garlic butter, fresh herbs, and lemon. Perfect for elegant dining at home.

# What You'll Need:

→ Seafood

01 - 4 lobster tails (about 6 oz each), thawed if frozen

→ Garlic Butter

02 - 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
03 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
05 - 1 tsp lemon juice
06 - ½ tsp paprika
07 - ¼ tsp salt
08 - ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper

→ Garnish

09 - Lemon wedges, for serving
10 - Extra chopped parsley (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Preheat your oven broiler to high and position a rack in the upper third of the oven.
02 - Using kitchen shears, cut down the center of the top shell of each lobster tail, stopping at the tail fin. Gently lift the meat, keeping it attached at the base, and rest it on top of the shell.
03 - In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
04 - Place the prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with foil. Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the lobster meat.
05 - Broil the lobster tails for 8–10 minutes or until the meat is opaque and slightly browned, basting once more halfway through with the butter mixture.
06 - Serve immediately with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Restaurant quality lobster that costs a fraction of what you would pay dining out
  • The garlic butter sauce is so incredible you will want to put it on everything
  • Ready in under 30 minutes but tastes like something you spent all afternoon perfecting
02 -
  • Overcooked lobster becomes rubbery and tough, so pull them from the broiler the moment they turn opaque throughout
  • Butter the lobster generously before and during cooking because the basting creates that signature succulent texture
  • Lobster tails continue cooking slightly after leaving the oven due to residual heat
03 -
  • Buy lobster tails the day you plan to cook them for the freshest taste and texture
  • Let the butter mixture sit for 10 minutes before using to let the garlic flavors meld
  • Line your baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup because melted butter is impossible to scrub
