Smoky sausage and crisp vegetables simmered in a sweet honey garlic glaze

# What You'll Need:

→ Meats

01 - 14 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1/2 inch rounds

→ Vegetables

02 - 1 red bell pepper, chopped
03 - 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
04 - 1 medium zucchini, sliced
05 - 1 small red onion, cut into wedges
06 - 1 cup baby carrots, halved
07 - 1 cup snap peas

→ Sauce

08 - 3 tbsp honey
09 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
10 - 2 tbsp soy sauce
11 - 1 tbsp olive oil
12 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
13 - 1/2 tsp paprika

# Directions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced kielbasa and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned on both sides. Remove sausage from skillet and set aside.
02 - Add bell peppers, zucchini, red onion, baby carrots, and snap peas to the same skillet. Stir-fry for 6-8 minutes until vegetables are just tender-crisp.
03 - In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, black pepper, and paprika until well combined.
04 - Return browned kielbasa to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour honey garlic sauce evenly over the mixture. Toss everything together to coat thoroughly.
05 - Continue cooking for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until everything is heated through and evenly glazed with the sauce.
06 - Transfer to a serving platter or individual plates. Serve hot while the glaze is still glossy. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The glaze becomes impossibly sticky and caramelized, coating every single piece like a restaurant-quality sauce youd usually have to pay extra for
  • Everything cooks in one pan so you spend less time cleaning and more time actually eating dinner
  • Customize the vegetables based on whats wilting in your crisper drawer and still end up with something incredible
02 -
  • Do not skip the step of removing the kielbasa before cooking the vegetables or the sausage will become rubbery and sad
  • Whisk your sauce thoroughly because honey loves to separate and you want that perfect balance in every single bite
  • The glaze will continue to thicken off the heat, so pull the pan when things still look slightly more liquid than you want
03 -
  • Pat your kielbasa dry before slicing for better browning and that restaurant-quality sear
  • Add red pepper flakes to the sauce if you like things with a little more personality and heat
