# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The way the whipped cream melts slowly into the hot coffee creates these incredible ribbon patterns as you drink it
  • It feels like something special and fancy but takes literally ten minutes from start to finish
02 -
  • Cold cream and hot coffee temperature difference is literally what makes this work. I tried room temperature once and it was just sad coffee with milk on top.
  • Serve these with actual spoons because people will want to stir partway through and experience the transformation from layered to blended.
03 -
  • Whip the cream slightly stiffer than you think you need because the hot coffee underneath will start softening it immediately
  • Brown sugar can clump so press it through a small sieve if it has been sitting in your pantry for ages
