# What You'll Need:

→ Shrimp

01 - 1.5 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined

→ Aromatics & Fats

02 - 3 tbsp unsalted butter
03 - 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
04 - 6 cloves garlic, minced

→ Seasoning

05 - 0.5 tsp kosher salt
06 - 0.25 tsp black pepper
07 - 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

→ For Finishing

08 - 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
09 - 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
10 - 2 tbsp lemon juice
11 - Lemon wedges, for serving

# Directions:

01 - Pat shrimp completely dry with paper towels. Season evenly with 0.25 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper.
02 - Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter. Swirl to combine as butter melts.
03 - Arrange seasoned shrimp in a single layer across the hot skillet. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until just pink and edges begin to curl. Transfer cooked shrimp to a clean plate.
04 - Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining 1 tablespoon butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir constantly for approximately 1 minute until garlic becomes fragrant but not browned.
05 - Sprinkle red pepper flakes over garlic butter if desired. Return seared shrimp to the skillet. Toss thoroughly to coat each piece in the aromatic butter mixture.
06 - Distribute freshly grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the shrimp. Allow cheese to melt for 1 minute while the skillet remains on the heat.
07 - Remove skillet from heat immediately. Drizzle lemon juice across the entire dish and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Serve piping hot with additional Parmesan and lemon wedges on the side.
