Creamy spinach dip sourdough (Printable Version)

Warm creamy spinach blend baked in a crusty sourdough bowl, ideal for sharing.

# What You'll Need:

→ Bread

01 - 1 large round sourdough loaf (approximately 1.1 lbs)

→ Dip

02 - 10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and excess moisture removed
03 - 9 oz cream cheese, softened
04 - 7 oz sour cream
05 - 4.5 oz mayonnaise
06 - 4.5 oz grated Parmesan cheese
07 - 5.5 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
08 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 1 small onion, finely diced
10 - 0.5 tsp black pepper
11 - 0.5 tsp salt
12 - 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)

→ Garnish & Dippers

13 - 1 Tbsp chopped fresh chives or parsley
14 - Vegetable crudités, crackers, or torn sourdough bread for dipping

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F.
02 - Slice off the top quarter of the sourdough loaf. Scoop out the center, leaving a 1-inch thick shell. Set aside removed bread for dipping.
03 - In a large mixing bowl, blend cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Parmesan, mozzarella, garlic, onion, black pepper, salt, and nutmeg until smooth and uniform.
04 - Gently fold chopped spinach into the cheese mixture until evenly distributed throughout.
05 - Transfer the spinach mixture into the hollowed bread bowl. Place on a baking sheet.
06 - Loosely replace the bread top. Bake for 30 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
07 - Remove from oven. Discard or reserve the bread lid. Sprinkle with fresh chives or parsley. Serve immediately with reserved bread pieces, fresh vegetables, or crackers.
